Alright you left out the sarcasm tag. I take back what i said. Do you really think your kids will be mad you kept up the Santa myth. I know I never was upset about my parents telling my there was a Santa. I am mad they forced me to go to a hypocritical church that does everything exect serve God.

Fortunately, I see good Christian examples in my church...people who serve, give their time to outsiders in the name of Christ, help the poor, etc; people whose actions match what they claim to believe. Yep...it is hard to hold on to Faith when humans fail to do what they claim to do. I am often amazed that God gets anything good done, what with working with humans.

There is a great video called "St. John In Exhile", done by Dean Jones, the old Disney guy. He does a one-man show of the Apostle John in Patmos Prison as he tries to serve the prisoners and spread the word about what Christ did for us. Jones give a really moving performance, as he relates the human side of the Apostles during Christ's ministry. Laughter, pain, joy, fear...it really shows that the Apostles were Just Guys, not perfect. It gives me hope that we folks who are Just Guys can make a difference, even though we fail and fall too often.
