Unicorn Divorce
THE WASHINGTON TIMES - Inside the Beltway ^ | 18 December 2003 | By John McCaslin

Rep. Steve King, Iowa Republican, is not pleased with Sioux City Judge Jeffrey Neary's decision to approve lesbian "divorce."

"This situation paints a clear picture of why we need to rein in renegade judges legislating from the bench," says Mr. King. "By granting this homosexual couple a divorce, Judge Neary has pretended their marriage was valid in the state of Iowa. Unless I'm mistaken, it was in Vermont, not Iowa, that Howard 'the Coward' Dean slyly signed midnight legislation making same-sex unions legal." The Defense of Marriage Act tells states they do not have to recognize unions granted in other states. And Iowans in his district, says Mr. King, stand strongly behind the "sacred institution of marriage ... between one man and one woman."

I like it, but I think FReeper (.cnI redruM) had a better line.

He called Dean "hatred-powered Howard."

I would add "and his mean Dean machine."

Ann Coulter had a good one: "Dr. Mean"

there is Rush's "Dr. NO"

"Dr. Anger" is ok too.

Iowans are fortunate to have him.

Maybe we can enlist the Raelians to clone him?

I was with the CongressCritter in Phoenix last weekend at a meeting. While consuming adult beverages near the firepit on the patio of a swanky hotel, he read this press release to me. Fortunately, I didn't have a mouthful. I was raised to believe it is a venial sin to waste good liquor.

We discussed our friends in the DC Freepers and bemoaned the fact that eventhough next years meeting returns to the Capitol, it is scheduled for the first week of December and we will again miss the Freeper's Christmas Party.

"Unicorns, leprechauns, gay 'marriages' in Iowa — these are all things you will never find because they just don't exist," the congressman says.

Y'all need a Disney World up there in Iowa. ;-)

Well we'll hopefully still be celebrating the results of the elections at that time so I'm sure will be able to get together for adult activities.
