And this year the grinches are again out in full force, trying their best to strip from our public squares any hint of what most Americans will actually be celebrating come Christmas morn.FROM MY COLD, DEAD SAPPY HANDS

INTREP - SECULARIZATION OF AMERICA ALERT
To: presidio9
"In New York City, a judge is expected to rule any day on a public-school policy that forbids Nativity scenes while allowing Jewish menorahs and Islamic stars-and-crescents on the grounds that the last two are secular."
Islam and Judaism are not religions? Their adherents will be surprised to hear that.

My company gave up on Christmas parties a few years ago.
Now we celebrate "Winter" at a sparsley-attended February dinner.
I suspect the sparsley-attended part may have been a key-selling point when the plan was first floated. Saves a few bucks.

When people wish me a Happy Holiday, I smile and brightly say Merry Christmas to you!
I love the reactions, it is sooo fun to be counter-cultural.
