Extremists seem to be out to destroy both parties. As to which faction is the most destructive to the nation, last time I looked, those on the "far right" of the Republican party (whatever that is; Jerry Falwell et al, I suppose) were not overtly supporting our enemies. I hasten to add I am not on the far right.

Yes, Hillary will be tough to beat. The first woman on the November ballot for president in 2008 will have a lot of built-in good will from both men and women. Speaking as a man, I would love to vote for a good woman for POTUS. Is there a Republican woman who could cut down "her shrillness"?

Clinton was forced to take more centrist positions just to win in '92 - narrowly and thanks to Perot.
His true colors (and those of shrillery's) appeared with the gay policy and socialized health care proposal right after that. These guys run centrist and once in, do whatever they can to take the country to the left.
Slick Bill is as centrist as Marx.

Slick Bill is as centrist as MarxIt's all relative, of course, so I really don't doubt that Bubba is near the center of the far-left Demorat Party.

How about a "Bush-Rice" ticket in '04 followed by a "Rice-Watts" ticket for the GOP in '08? How about Bush Cheyney again in 04', then trot out Rudy Guiliani and Condi in 08'.

Old toe sucker makes some good points. What a WEIRD fettish!
Still, he's a good political analyst or the KKKlintoons would never have paid him megabucks.
By the way. He isn't on our side, or on the dumbocrats side. He is a mercenary with a word-processor, but a damn good one. He will work for anyone who pays him. Right now, that is the press.
Even so, he does good work.

Is there a Republican woman who could cut down "her shrillness"? I think Condi Riced has the potential. But '08 may be too soon for her, unless she becomes VP in '04. She also may not want to be a politician, but prefers to be more behind the scenes.
One reason I like Condi also is the fact that she is black which will make it more difficult for Dems to beat her up, as they would anyone else.
She is also a lot easier on the eyes then old Hill.

How about Bush Cheyney again in 04', then trot out Rudy Guiliani and Condi in 08'. I like it. But I was hoping for Rudy to run against Hillary in '06. Although I am still thinking Hillary will not run for the Senate in '06, if the Republicans have a formidable candidate.

From a strict constructionist conservative's point of view, the Republican Party has been taken over by the left as well.Dang, you beat me to it. That's the first thing that came to mind, and all I had seen was the title.
