[history]
Trumpeter swans are rare, majestic birds, spectacular to watch as they soar above the Iowa countryside.
Naturally, a thug has taken the opportunity to gun down a couple more of them.
"It's frustrating," said Ron Andrews, in charge of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources program reintroducing trumpeter swans to the state.

I know this guy. He's worked very hard on this, and many other programs he's been involved with.

"I can't imagine what goes through a person's mind when they do this sort of thing," Andrews said. "Ah, heck, that's easy. It's something along the line of "Hey, dude(s), watch this!"

1. These birds are NOT native to North or South America.
2. What do they taste like? (please don't say chicken)

The Trumpeter Swan is the largest waterfowl species native to North America.

These birds are NOT native to North or South America.Trumpeter swans are native birds. You're probably thinking of mute swans. Mute swans were introduced from Europe and are pests.

Mute swans are pests, and taste like pestiforous chicken. (DO NOT ask me how I know that.)

Trumpeter swans look gay, just like deer and flamingos, therefore they must be shot into oblivion. Just like monkeys. Monkeys annoy me because they look like hairy midget people therefore they must be vaporized

I'll bet you get told at least one more time before this thread is over. I deserve it. And it gives me something to read while the trumpeter, er, MUTE swan is turning on the spit over a bed of charcoal.

Did you know that John Effin Kerry is a Viet Nam vet? Yes, I expect that will give me victory the next time I play "Trivial Pursuit".
It was the last good thing he did in his life. Everything since then has been downhill.
