The Anti Dixie Chics

Toby Keith and the Song An American Soldier. The video is excellent. Too bad the Dixie Chics are not so proud to be Americans. Or rather maybe too bad they are Americans at all. Wearing their (FTK) or F*&^ Toby Keith T-Shirts
An American Soldier - Toby Keith
I'm just trying to be a father Raise a daughter and a son Be a lover to their mother Everything to everyone Up and at 'em, bright and early I'm all business in my suit Yea, I'm dressed up for success From my head down to my boots
I dont do it for the money There's bills that I can't pay I don't do it for the glory I just do it anyway Providing for our future's my responsibility Yea I'm real good under pressure Being all that I can be
And I can't call in sick on mondays when the weekends been too strong I just work straight through the holidays And sometimes all night long You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey, I'm true down to the core
And I will always do my duty no matter what the price I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrifice Oh, and I dont want to die for you but if dyin's asked of me i'll bear that cross with honor cause freedom dont come free
I'm an amiercan soldier, and american beside my brothers and my sisters i will proudly take a stand when liberty's in jeopardy i will always do what's right i'm out here on the front lines sleep in peace tonight american soldier i'm an american soldier
Yeah an american soldier, and american beside my brothers and my sisters i will proudly take a stand when liberty's in jeopardy i will always do what's right i'm out here on the front lines sleep in peace tonight american soldier i'm an american An american an american soldier

Toby Keith is great. Screw the Country Music Academy. They didn't give him ONE award last year. They just can't stand his success being borne from Patriotism.

I am not a huge fan of this newer country music but I do like Toby Keith. I wish those Dixie Bitches would just go away and hang out in Saddam's hole for awhile since he isn't using it right now.

That is a little mean to the pigs don't you think? I am sure they wouldn't even want to be associated with them.

The dixie c***s and their supporters keeping vomiting on and on about free speech. They think free speech means you are free of any consequences of what you say.
But the truth is quite different. Freedom of speech means you can say something unpopular free of the fear that some sort of secret police will kick your door in, hogtie you, and carry you away never to be seen again.
But if you're going to say something unpopular you must be prepared to bare the consequences. Clearly the Dixie C***s had no clue about freedom of speech.
Sure, they have the right to go overseas and bleat out their meak anti-Americanisms. But we have the right to disagree with it and not buy their music.
If I go into a crowded there and "Fire!" I should be prepared to see a rampage, and be prepared to accept the results of my actions. If "I have a gun" I should be prepared to accept the results of my actions. Whenever I said "I do not like Bill Clinton and disagree with his ideas." I acctepted the results of my actions. I lost friends. I didn't claim it was the result of a "vast left wing conspiracy". It was the result of my actions.
So sorry ladies. It's not a vast right wing conspiracy that's causing your sales and popularity to drop. It is the results of your own fat mouths, the results of your own wreckless and irresponsible use of your free speech which came back and kicked you in the collective Uterus.
I noticed you haven't done any concerts in Europe in which you thanked any of the Veterans who died there to preserve your right, NO, The entire WORLD'S right to free speech.
Dixie chics? I find very little American in these Chics, and even less Dixie.
And I am done protecting and defending Un-Americans like you.
Move to Cuba.

"Marion C Cannon " aka Chuck Cannon, co-writer with Toby Keith of
How Do You Like Me Now.
Chuck Cannon is a Nashville writer who is the guiding influence behind a songwriter's cooperative called "The Nashville Underground".
He just came up to Alaska with 2 other Nashville writers of note and did a 3 date tour, performing 'in-the-'round', ala The Bluebird Cafe.
It was a wonderful night of music listening to the original creaters of those famous songs talk about the inspiration behind their various tunes before performing their own material.

This song went to #1 in just one week on fan voted Country Music Television's "Most Wanted Live". Toby did USO shows and has met with service people and their families on many occasions and has been profoundly affected by them. His live "Shock "N" Y'all" show features his song "The Angry American" aka "Courtesy of the Red,White & Blue" as well as "American Soldier" which is delivered with all the reverence and respect of a hymn in church. He supports President Bush and makes no bones about being politically incorrect. He is a favorite among our soldiers. You may recall the M109SP artillery piece with "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" chalked on its tube or the tank in the square with the same thing on its gun when they pulled down Saddam's statue seen on TV. The Angry American" was written by Toby exclusively for the military (his Dad was a wounded Vet) and was not to be recorded however after hearing the song the Commandant of the Marine Corps told Toby that good morale is important to accomplish the mission and that those young people were doing their part and Toby could do his part by recording the song. Peter Jennings may not like it but our service people love the song and love Toby. "American Soldier" is a beautiful song that reminds me of the way I felt when I wore the uniform and the "Angry American" said exactly what I felt after 911.

My husband's Christmas gift is wrapped in a box, and it's been tough not to give him hints as to what's inside. Toby Keith is coming to Little Rock next month and I got the hubby a Toby CD and two tickets! Should be an awesome concert.

He certainly is no Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Patsy Cline, or George Jones, that is true. I have a friend (who is 27) that loves that old stuff. I grew up on it myself. You can't deny that he is proud of his country, and one heck of a singer. I have most of his albums, and saw him in concert, I can tell you that he is truly a gifted singer, when you listen to him you can tell his singing is effortless, that is a mark of a great singer.
