Certainly worth reading-especially for those who think Ronald Reagan "walked on water" during his presidency. The article clearly states that Reagan wanted retaliation, it was Weinberger who pulled the plug on action.

The 'politics' that influenced the decision not to retaliate was probably the desire to seek a rapproachment with Iran.
