Of course if you never went to school and have no job skills, you will vote to keep the "safety net".

"safty net" = Democratic Party.

This trend explains what has happened in Califronia. Only one time between 1952 and 1988 did California vote Democratic in the presidential election. It was solidly Republican. Then came the big flood of immigrants both legal and illegal into the state in the 1990's into the 2000's. Now its solidly left/democratic.

Look at New Mexico too ---- the hispanics who are native to that state tended to be Conservative in their values but high immgration has turned it largely democrat. Look at the welfare rolls in the southern counties, the extremely high dependence on government programs. It makes no sense at all to import millions of low-skilled uneducated people when those jobs are leaving to Central America and China.
