(Minneapolis-AP) -- Denver's mayor isn't happy with Minnesota's latest export. Hennepin County buys bus tickets for homeless people who can show they have a chance for a job or shelter somewhere else -- and the Mile-High City figures about 63 Hennepin County residents have ended up there.

Denver mayor John Hickenlooper called the policy "unacceptable" in a Denver Post article on Monday.

Hennepin County officials say they have issued more than 33-hundred ticket vouchers over the past four years, with destinations in every state except Alaska and Hawaii.

County commissioner Mike Opat says Denver shouldn't get so worked up about homeless people getting off the bus in their city. Opat says Minneapolis gets hundreds of homeless people from other states.
