You sent your post to the wrong person. I agree with you.

Well, except for your statement "IF God has any purpose for this at all..." Everything that happens is according to the purposes of God to bring Him glory and something good from the ashes.

Anytime a potential terrorist is killed it is a good thing.

I apologize if you took offense to my post. The larger point was not just a prurient interest in news-babes (there are other threads on FR for that.) The point which seems to have been missed is that Ms. B., who is talented, educated, driven, very successful and highly visible, would be enjoying none of those gifts were she still in Iran, where women are relegated to near-slavery by theocratic fiat. The fact that she is stunningly beautiful is just the most obvious outward manifestation of a person who has been allowed to reach her full potential, here in America.

While the events of this week in Iran are terrible, most Freepers would agree that the larger tragedy is the waste of human potential going on every day. That's the larger point I wanted to make.

And I will go further. Although you may have thought my suggestion of beaming in CNN was flippant, I was quite serious. And Ms. B's being a "hottie" is very germane to this plan.

If there is to be a revolution in Iran, it will be led by the young people and students there. If you were a 20-year-old student, which kind of future would you want? One where smart, glamorous, sexy mega-babes like Ms. B. stay in Iran, maybe meet you for coffee after class? Or one where black-robed old men try to supress every aspect of beauty and sensuality? If you are a woman, would you want a life of forced, veiled domestic servitude, or maybe that chance to be a cool, glamorous professional woman?

Good thing I never posted my suggestion that beaming in episodes of "JAG", with half-Iraqi Catherine Bell and her spectacular...ly well-tailored military uniforms, would be the most effective psy-op we could undertake in Iraq....:)
