Plenty of fun you can have legally.

Hike. Kayak. Hunt. Fish. Read. Freep.

Sure is, for now, anyway. Some things are on their way out -- smoking is the most visible casualty. Plenty of others want to tell you what you can read. Do you have any doubt that obese Americans will soon be told, in part at least, what they can eat? Hopefully, Freeping won't run afoul of the new campaign laws like free speech has, but who can say for certain? If the "wrong" people get in charge, you (or your wife/girlfriend) could find your/herself in a burka.

For my part, I prefer to keep government power on the tighest leash. Abuse of power frightens me far more than abuse of drugs.

My greatest fear is apparently one of yours:

The Tyranny of the Majority.

The majority decides and we must behave, and the majority that decides is getting to be more and more a minority.

But until we can change that we can't just have anarchy.

Well, now, you're striking a discordant tone at this festival of boot-lickers!

The lawyers can't pervert the American legal system fast enough to maintain their cash-flow as it is.

Heavens! Can't have citizens making their own choices!

Onwards to the final triumph of American Socialism!

Um.../sarc.
