And I in turn hate to nit-pick, but it was **usually** ''naught-naught''. You doubtless recall Elly May's ragging on Jethro on one occasion as ''nut-nut''. Jethro typically used ''double-naught'' as a noun, as in, ''Uncle Jed, I'm gonna be a double-naught.'', rather than as an adjective.
