Don't get me wrong here, because I'm very pleased with the stock market lately.

But my 401(k) is barely over half of what it was in 1999. I'm still going to have to work until I'm 107...

Hmmm. My Schwab accounts are back to 75% of where they were, and my TIAA-CREF account, because of the structure of the account, has grown dramatically.

Course, I bought Lucent when it was something like a buck and it has gone up $1.86 since then.
