We are either going to assert ourselves as a nation, or we are going to sink into the mire of a globalist fantasy. Are we really ready to live like the people of the Third World? Because that is what the globalists have in mind for us.

"We should never deliver to any international governing body the authority to dictate what our laws should be," observes Rep. Paul. "And this is precisely the kind of power that has been given to the WTO.... The WTO is being described by its promoters as a vehicle for free trade. I believe in free trade but, as we can see, the WTO has nothing to do with free trade;"

I don't agree with every word of this article, but the creation of international governing bodies is a disgrace for any officeholder who takes an oath to defend America. When did we become so careless about our freedom? Did we not learn what the left can do to the powers of subsidiary states by broadly interpeting terms like public welfare? The century of INTERNATIONAL MOJO is well on its way.

An interesting footnote is that NAFTA is apparently devastating Mexico's rural economy. The peasants' production methods cannot compete with the USA's large-scale highly mechanized agricultural conglomerates. Importing grain from the USA has become cheaper than growing it in Mexico. So what are the Mexican peasants to do? Head for California of course.

"harmonization." The process is an updated version of Karl Marx’s classic Communist formula: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need....

--------------------

It's also the piller of Christian Marxism or Christian Socialism. Bush calls it compassionate conservatism. He's a Christian Marxist/socialist. His religious conversion is costly.
