The concept of a BFC (Big Freakin' Cat) appealed to me and my wife. Y'know, something that, should we ever leash-train it, could strike fear into the hearts of the yip-dogs that run around here. A Viking Kitten that a Viking would look at and say, "that'll work." A cat in the upper reaches of our apartment complex's 25-pound weight limit for pets.

And he's STILL giving me cracker eyes. We're going to have to keep reminding him he's a carnivore.

My wife swears she's going to make him a little horned helmet so he can be a real Viking Kitten. I don't doubt her. :)
