I am very happy to hear that .. I was upset when I read the UN didn't want us there. We need to be there.

In the veteran inspector's eyes, the findings highlighted the inadequacy of international inspections. IAEA teams have been visiting Libya for years and knew nothing about the equipment they saw Sunday."
They're SURPRISED that countries can hide these things???
How come a 10 year old could figure this out?
"Even permission to allow surprise inspections would not guarantee discovery of a nuclear weapons program."
"Low-level programs like this are difficult to detect. They can be run in a garage," he said.
Well, DUHHH!!!
"You would have to be lucky or have very good intelligence to run across it."
Yeah. This is NEWS??
"We're doing a lot of soul searching."
How about doing a lot of nuc searching. Hire more people, get better intelligence, use better techniques. Whatever it takes. How about Assuming that certain countries are LYING and take it from there. Stop giving rogue, terrorist-loving, dictatorships the benefit of the doubt.
Sheeesh. They're worthless.

"Could it be that alBaradei is a covert member of the Axis of Evil ? What better position for them to have a confederate in ..."

You could be closer to the truth, than you know.
There was a Debka article back some time ago, that the US considered demanding replacing al Baradei because of collution with Saddam's regime.

Well, good old Google helped.
Here is the excerpt from the Debka article:
Washington Targets Chirac and ElBaradai
From DEBKA-Net-Weekly May 2 Updated by DEBKAfile
May 7, 2003
"As for Dr. ElBaradai, our sources report that, even before the Iraqi archives were examined, Washington had compiled a dossier on the chief nuclear inspector from discoveries made in the course of crises over the North Korean and Iranian nuclear weapons programs.
In the meantime, US officials believe they have sufficient grounds for demanding Dr. ElBaradais removal and have already set this process in motion."
http://www.debka.com/article.php?aid=484 I can believe it. Apparently for some reason nothing actually came of it, but I do believe that we have evidence of el Baradai's treachery.

I can believe it. Apparently for some reason nothing actually came of it, but I do believe that we have evidence of el Baradai's treachery. This would explain many things. If true, Debka has nailed it again.

all it takes is two bombs.
one to detonate publicly at a test range
the other? who knows? in a freight container on a vessel in whereabouts unknown...

it has gotten to the point that I'm beginning to think that a failure to blatantly profile and universally exclude Muslims/Arabs from positions of power is evidence of suicidal tendencies.

At the very least they should be subject to additional scrunity.

Perhaps the good Colonel remembers the joke that was going around in late 1979 wherein Ayatollah Khomeni was asked "What is blue, and glows in the dark?"
He probably heard the punch line modified to "Tripoli, five minutes after Bush finishes with Iraq." and got the point immediately.
