"It was a little shocking to see Lori, but it also gave me a little peace to know
that they tried, they did their best for her," Johnson, 30, of El Paso,
Texas, told the network. "I mean, it was obvious they tried to bandage her up
and give her medical care."
....
But this tape survived because an employee at the state network kept it at home, NBC reported.
Sounds like the Iraqi soldiers at least behaved decently. It would be interesting
to know if the Iraqi TV employee kept the tape safe wanting to be sure
it survived for the families of the captured Americans...
or maybe didn't want his station to air it?

If Piestawa had a broken neck, moving her head around like that could have greatly aggravated her injuries or been the cause of her demise. And something tells me those women didn't get any CAT scans for internal and spinal injuries.

I can't seem to get the video to play, so I haven't seen the tape, so keep that in mind when I ask this:
Is it possible that it was our own Soldiers who bandaged Piestewa BEFORE the Iraqis got her, and before those Soldiers were killed themselves.
Is it evident in the tape whether or not the bandages were put on by Iraqis? I suppose someone with a military medic's background might be able to tell if the bandages look like U.S. Govt-issue, and/or Army-medic wrapping techniques, etc.
And does anyone have another link to the video that isn't via the MSNBC website? I can get it to play audio, but I can't see the video.

"I haven't watched it," Piestewa's mother, Percy Piestewa, said when contacted by The Associated Press. "I don't want to talk to any reporters right now." These reporters are absolutely ghoulish to be approching Pvt. Piestewa's mother with this stuff.
