This is true. No doubt. But please explain the mentality behind our "more-conservative-than-thou" crowd to me. Theirs I just don't get. I mean, you can expect this from the Left (you can't blame a dog for being a dog). But what about these fine folks?

Some are libertarians who think that all problems can be resolved with free trade and open borders. Some are isolationists who feel our best defense is to avoid foreign entanglements. Most of these will come around again when, and if, we're hit hard again by the terrorists. Reality is a harsh mistress.
