[history]
Attorney General John Ashcroft recused himself yesterday from the investigation into who leaked a CIA operative's name to the press, putting the politically sensitive matter in the hands of a U.S. attorney with broad investigative powers.

AOL Commie news is going nuts over this one, the lead story tonight. They've written it in the usual seditious fashion.

This is great news, it signals that the White House has nothing to hide. The 'Rats will have a hard time making insinuations about Ashcroft covering up misdeeds etc. The Chucky Schemer quote in this article is a classic.

That is exactly what came to mind when I heard this on Fox News yesterday.....odds are possible that the "leak" came from a hold over democrat from the Clinton administration. Novak has already stated on Meet the Press a few months ago that the leak did not come from the White House. Any thoughts on who this might be? I'll put my money on a democrat from the State Department.
