Interesting. I get the flu shot every year but usually still get sick. My doctor tells me that had I not taken the shot, it would have been much worse. Each year I say I won't and by the time October/November comes around, I'm the first one there. Are you a nurse/doctor?

Could I ask how old you are? I didn't think the flu vaccine was really for anyone but the young and old. Do most Americans across the age spectrum get a flu shot every year?

I am not a doctor or a nurse, but I am a research junkie!!
I read stuff like the article just posted. The Center for Disease Control admitted themselves they screwed up.
Like most things in life you got to research both sides.
I would never get a flu shot, I am 47 yrs old. I have not had the flu in years AND even if I did I would fight it get over it and get better.
We are fearfully and Wonderfully made! The flu has not taken God by surprize.
When I was young, we got the flu once a year, got sick and got better. That's what I remember!!

My doctor tells me that had I not taken the shot, it would have been much worseThe ultimate CYA answer. I never get a flu (or any other kind) immunizing shot and I never get the flu. The occasional cold I get is generally so mild that I am never really sure if I caught one or if I'm just mildly allergic to something or over stressed. I think all the years of letting my immune system work the way it was intended has given me a lot of natural resistance and cross immunity to these things.
