They are reporting a recorder "ping" has been detected.

Also, Egyptian authorities are saying that four of those on board were American. However, they did not know whether they were crew or passengers.

A new "Spiegel" article is saying that the salvage team was able to find the wreckage by following the ping. It quotes a participating diver as saying "We have narrowed down the location of the black box to an area with a radius of 100 meters"
