The problem on this thread is that many of the posters don't live in border states. They haven't seen what we have seen. The crime rate for Phoenix is climbing rapidly and ILLEGAL ALIENS are reported by police departments for much of home invasions, murders, rapes, etc.

During it's heyday Sanctuaries favorite dumping point was Illinois, Chicago still has the best Mexican restaraunt I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot). Aliens (both legal and illegal) don't necessarily stay close to the border. While it's a bigger problem in border states (they have to buffer zone where the day-illegals hang out) it's not exclusively our problem.

I have been in Nashville for 9 years, coming here from California, I see the same things happening here to once peaceful neighborhoods that I saw while I lived in California; illegals come here and set up little communities within established areas and soon the long-time residents move out, the storefronts change, the crime rate increases and the property values plummet.
Other than that, I have little experience in living along the border proper.
