Franklin Graham Reaffirms Criticism of Islam (EVIL, WICKED!)

Loony ArabNews Rant of the Day

One of the craziest writers at the ArabNews site is Saudi princess Reem Mohammed al-Faisal (lgf: search), and yesterday she uncorked a fine example of state-of-the-art Islamic ranting, with a veneer of globalism and socialism to appeal to Western moonbats: Can a Value System Supposedly Primitive Pose a Threat to West?   link: 124 comments |

"I have no problem whatsoever with muslims wanting to live according to the values system they derive from their religious belief.I have a huge problem with them exporting this belief system out of the Mid and South East through violent means."

Here is list of debunking what they CLAIM to have invented.

LGF Audio: Jail Imam's Speech to MSA

We’ve had several reports on the head of Islamic chaplains in the New York City Department of Corrections, who gave a speech to a Muslim Students Association meeting in which he said the “greatest terrorists in the world occupy the White House,” Jews control the media, and Muslims are being tortured in Manhattan jails. When the speech was exposed, he claimed the remarks were taken “out of context.”

Thanks to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, Little Green Footballs has obtained the recordings of Imam Umar Abdul-Jalil’s speech, just to make sure that everything is in its proper context.

We have a full transcript of these two recordings, also provided by the Investigative Project, here: Umar Abdul-Jalil Transcripts.

Oriana Fallaci asks: Is Muslim immigration to Europe a conspiracy?--The book is also animated by a world-class journalist’s dismay that she could have missed the story of her life for as long as she did...in 1972, she interviewed the Palestinian terrorist George Habash, who told her (while a bodyguard aimed a submachine gun at her head) that the Palestinian problem was about far more than Israel. The Arab goal, Habash declared, was to wage war “against Europe and America” and...

The Fallaci Code is a review of The Force of Reason, in the LA Weekly.

If The Force of Reason sells a lot of copies, which it almost certainly will (800,000 were sold in Italy alone, and the book is in the top 100 on Amazon ), it will be not only because of the heat generated by her topic, but also because Fallaci speaks for the ordinary reader. There is no one she despises more than the intellectual “cicadas,” as she calls them — “You see them every day on television; you read them every day in the newspapers” — who deny they are in the midst of a cultural, political and existential war with Islam, of which terrorism is the flashiest, but ultimately least important component. Nonetheless, to give the reader a taste of what Muslim conquest can be like, in her first chapter, Fallaci provides a brief tour of the religion’s bloodiest imperial episodes and later does an amusing job of debunking some of its more exaggerated claims to cultural and scientific greatness.   Comments (39)

Seeds of Submission to Islam

Author Edward Cline says it so well that I need not write another word. He covers the silly notion that other cultures are untouchable and must be respected. Where does this come from? What happens if we acquiesce? In what direction are we headed? Read the way Cline expresses the problem and our failure to meet that threat head on.

What Media Bias?

Fallaci: War

It is semantics. I am the pacifist. I want to live free or die. It is clear to me the battle we face is for  freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and anyone that infringes upon that is declaring war. Turn the other cheek? And then what?

Past generations have fought the battle of ideas and won. Freedom triumphed. Every generation must fight their battle for freedom, this is ours.

Oriana Fallaci in her brilliant new book, The Force of Reason states it plainly,, the force of reason as it were, the true nature of war;

It's Not Xenophobia, It's Xenonausea--It is not Xenophobia. It is Xenonausea. People are sick of having the whole world shoved down their throats at once and being told it tastes like ice cream. They are sick of every street corner and parking lot being filled with criminal aliens waiting to work off the books and outside the laws that are applied so enthusiastically to actual Americans. They are sick of pressing “1” for English. They are sick of being at war with foreign terrorists and simultaneously being economically and demographically bound more tightly to the nations producing these terrorists. They are sick of being told that the world is global or flat or smaller or at their doorstep or all coming for dinner on Tuesday

Iraq Documents Show Saddam Terror Connections

The trove of documents discovered in Iraq has been released to the public, and we’re now starting to see the results; Michelle Malkin has some early translations that are already making clear Saddam Hussein’s connections to terrorists—including Osama bin Laden.link: 80 comments

Newly released document links Saddam to al-Qaida
[Indicates regime was cooperating with bin Laden group to strike U.S.]

Among the pre-war documents posted online yesterday by the Pentagon is a letter from a member of Saddam's intelligence apparatus indicating al-Qaida and the Taliban had a relationship with the regime prior to the 9-11 attacks.

This shouldn't surprise anyone here;

Pajamas Media Doesn't Just Report History, It Helps To Make It

Talk about Gonzo Journalism:

Back in mid-February Pajamas Media went to Washington to cover the Intelligence Summit and did video interviews with Congressman Hoekstra (chair of the House Intell Committee), former DCI Woolsey and Richard Perle, among others. In all those interviews we discussed our idea - new to all of them - that the myriad untranslated Saddam tapes and documents be released to the blogosphere for translation.  Today, it was announced that at the instigation of Hoekstra these documents have been released by the Pentagon for ... and this is how it was worded on the Brit Hume Show on Fox News ... for translation by the blogosphere.
Here's some info on some of the documents already translated.

If you read nothing else today, make sure to go to this site.

Jveritas provides a translation of a document linking Iraq and Osama bin Laden CMPC-2003-001488 (hat tip: Jawa Report):
There's more there and more to come.

I BELIEVE THE RELEASE OF THESE DOCUMENTS WAS CAREHULLY TIMED.

THEY ARE BEING RELEASED NOW AS PART OF THE EFFORT TO PREPARE US FOR A MAJOR ASSAULT ON IRAN.

JUST WATCH.

Michelle Malkin has more on Trinidad's Darul Uloom connected Adnan G. El-Shukrijumah;

WHERE IS ADNAN SHUKRIJUMAH?

Adnan G. El Shukrijumah is a Saudi terror suspect with a $5 million bounty on his head. The FBI has been hunting him for nearly a year. He has been billed as the "next Mohammed Atta."

Al-Qaeda’s Inroads into the Caribbean

The potential threat of al-Qaeda using the Caribbean Basin as a base of operations came to the fore when allegations circulated that Adnan G. El-Shukrijumah, a known al-Qaeda operative, was reportedly spotted in Honduras in June 2004... Trinidadian sources go a step further and tie Shukrijumah to the Darul Uloom, an Islamic institute in Trinidad, and claim he may have infiltrated Central America via Trinidad and Tobago

Check out al-Qaeda connected Trinidad Darul Uloom academy's guestlist-- 25% of the signers are Pakis.

Meanwhile, the blogosphere's Army of Translators--mother of all hat tips to Glenn Reynolds--is busy with Project Docex.

DISCLAIM THIS

So, the MSM is slowly picking up on the historic release of thousands of documents from Saddam Hussein's archives. But not without making a concerted effort to downplay and undermine the story. Readers are calling attention to the disclaimers included in this ABC News story.  Will we see that helpful disclaimer--"this document is of limited evidentiary value"--the next time ABC News or Newsweek or the NYTimes or the Washington Post uses unnamed, uncorroborated informants?

Some are self-loathing multiculturalists that are willing to sacrifice themselves and their heritage to atone for what they believe to be the guilt of their ancestors. 2. Many of the LLL/MSM are basically shills for the DNC and hate GWB and the GOP with such a passion that they would delight in the deaths of millions of American citizens and soldiers if it helped them in the mid-term elections. 3. The rest of the LLL/MSM are socialist/communist and want our system and economy to fail so they can seize and direct it."Israel's colonisation of Palestine blocking peace, says Jimmy Carter --That this was published in Haaretz, after yesterday's vile little screed, doesn't surprise me.

SADDAM'S OWN WORDS: TERRORISM IS COMING WITH THE AMERICANS

9:24am EST
SADDAM AND TWO COMMANDERS SAID IT: As for whether the media in America report it or not is yet to be seen...

A number of weeks ago - as the MuscleHead Revolution first pointed out (and again in my syndicated column...) - former Saddam military leaders have pointed out and are verifying that Iraq had WMD's, used WMD's, and now at least two witnesses are saying he moved them out via jumbo jet flights into Syria.

Then came the audio tapes first played on ABC's Nightline. And the more the tapes are being examined the worse it looks...today's Washington Times has details. But now that additional former Iraqi military leaders have come forward, what will the critics say?

AND WHERE IS THE NATIONAL MEDIA ON THIS?

AND IF ALL THAT WEREN'T ENOUGH: Iran is to begin building its second nuclear facility... (note in the story the almost laughable consequence that the U.N. is threatening - oooooh so scary s a n c t i o n s... yeah that should be enough to stop the second coming of Hitler.)

More Connections Between Saddam And Al-Qaeda

Stephen Hayes at the Weekly Standard has long pressed for the release of millions of Iraqi intelligence documents captured by the US when Baghdad fell. He argued for years that the trove of correspondence would shed light on critical disputes about the Iraq war and the actual threat presented from Saddam Hussein and his genocidal regime.New documents released show that the Iraqis funded the Abu Sayyaf terrorists in the Philippines, a band of bloodthirsty Islamists with strong ties to al-Qaeda: At the same time that leftists would have us believe that Saddam was safely in a "box" and contained by UN sanctions, he had corrupted the UN's aid program and plundered his own nation for billions of dollars. And these aren't just local Islamists, either, as the Center for Defense Information noted in March 2002: CNN also notes the AS/AQ connection in its section on Asian terrorists. Time reported it in November 2002 in a profile on Abu Sayyaf and its operations. Those connections between Saddam and Islamist terror, specifically al-Qaeda, look a lot more significant with this new information.  Comments (12)

Another case that seems to be under a media blackout is the Lodi terror cell trial in Sacramento. Terrorists in Rural America?

I ran across a blog yesterday I'd not read before called Gates of Vienna. One of the contributors, Baron Borissey, had a fascinating post about a terrorist organization out of Pakistan called Jamaat ul-Fuqra (aka al-Fuqra aka Fuqra) that apparently has several bases here in the US. Baron decided to get a close up view of one of their compounds in rural Virginia. He's got a couple maps and a picture of the front gate sign and guardhouse. Read the whole thing and read the comments that follow. For more background on this group, read John J. Miller's National Review column from 2002 - here.

UPDATE: The other contributor at Gates of Vienna, Dymphna, notes that this terror group was just banned in the UK.

UPDATE: A reverse address search for "Shiekh Gilani Lane" in "Red House, VA" on whitepages.com turned up a list of seven individuals, presumably members or aliases of members of al-Fuqra. See the list - here.

Quite a stretch: Denying a connection between Islamic terror and Islam itself is causing a backlash--Every time I see the word "xenophobia" now, I have to laugh and see the true word intended... instead of that PC abortion, xenonausea... which is more accurate.

One in 10 Indonesians Back Suicide Bombings

In Indonesia, the showcase “moderate” Islamic state, eleven percent of Muslims say suicide bombings are justifiable, and almost half support stoning adulterers to death: ...it's 1 in 10 who are willing to admit they support terrorism. And note that it is not just terrorism, but the most radical form of terrorism.    One in 10 Indonesians back suicide bombings-survey. link: 23 comments

How Innocuous Were Those Tapes, Anyway?

Not long ago, ABC News broadcast a number of tapes that recorded meetings of Iraqi officials before the American invasion, including Saddam Hussein and his inner circle. After the tapes aired, the general opinion was that the tapes had some historical and contextual interest but provided no smoking guns on Saddam's instransigence. The DoD and DNI have now posted transcripts of all the tapes, and the information contained within them may change that evaluation.

Ray Robison has begun a blogswarm to highlight the review of the documents. Be sure to read his ongoing commentary on the transcripts. For instance, page 6 of this document shows that Saddam was kept informed of the status of three German scientists working in the employ of Saddam:

Letter shows Saddam ordered plans for chemical attack

Swastikas are trendy in Cairo   At Rantings of a Sandmonkey, we discover that swastikas are trendy in Cairo. (Hat tip: Kilgore Trout.)  And now Jimmy has a picture of another dude wearing a Swastika and had this conversation with him
Nothing new, check out the pictures of Amin Al Husseini with his Muslim Nazi Hanzar troops. Wow. Gives more credibility to the term Islamofascism, doesn't it? Funny, how the MSM has simply ignored it.  Sure, the moonbats will tell you that they're accusing the Jews and Bush of being the Nazis -- they're not celebrating being Nazis themselves. But as I noted in this report two years ago today:
War is coming. And yes, it will be bad. And no, it cannot be stopped. We have the facts about Islamofascism, and pretending that it isn't an evil death cult won't make it better.

American Muslims Hating US Troops

A pro-US article posted on an Islamic web site by a Muslim serving in the US armed forces provokes some very disturbing responses: from another poster going by the name of MuslimGentleMan:   I think these American Muslims I saw yesterday would stab our troops in the back given half a chance.

Ay caramba, in the middle of all this -- I'm halfway through my SF moonbat report -- the crew of hackers that have been harrassing me out of "l'Universite Sidi Med Ben Abdallah de Fes" (i.e. the University of Fez in Morocco) have again gone on a rampage of seizing control of unattended computers around the world and using them to bombard me with viruses. I just checked the email and got a fresh byte-blitz of virus-laden emails from Lebanon, American University in Wash DC, and Ben Gurion University Israel (I'm guessing from the "...@bgumail.bgu.ac.il" suffixes), and a bunch of random French sites. Either the Moroccans are partial to hacking French computers, or the French are utterly lackadaisical in protecting themselves from being hacked. But the IPs all trace back to Morocco. http://www.zombietime.com/   Zombie? take a gander at this. Looks like those DNS attacks could get a whole lot worse. "Little did I know I was a cutting-edge victim!"

Victor Davis Hanson's Recent Comments at Berkeley

Jeremiah trekked ten  rain drenched miles for a Victor Davis Hansen lecture in Berkeley.  Some  recollections;

Here's what the q&a brought out as to his take on America's current military commitments.   (This was when I really regretted not having a recording device.)  A few quotes:

* "We will see things [examples of desperate, escalating, asymmetrical warfare] you won't believe in the war on terror over the next four or five years."

* "A society as sophisticated as ours can take a [billions-dollar damaging] '9/11' only once about every 30 years."

* "This country [the U.S.] is capable of things [military strikes] you won't believe."

* He said his father often complained about America's decision to drop the A-bomb on Japan: "It was a terrible mistake, we should have dropped it earlier."

* "Very bad [military] ideas can work if they're tactically sound and if people believe they can work." (Twice he stated he believes Hitler could have conquered the USSR with less of his own meddling or with different diplomatic strategies.)

Thanks Jeremiah, it's not that we weren't aware of these realities, but when articulated so precisely, it's frightening.  Comments (2) |
