Actually the ticket was never lost.

I love it when people join to correct eight hour old posts on the facts that were not known during that time.

Apparently the nice young lady who claimed to have "lost" the ticket has previously been arrested for credit card fraud and some other stuff. Oh, and the name she's using isn't even her legal name.

Somebody's in twouble!

There are some other factors you have not mentioned. This 179 million jackpot has shrunk to somewhere around 60 or so million because the prize winner took the lump sum payout option of around 90 million and taxes wiped out the rest. I checked the mega millions webpage and they give the odds of winning the jackpot at 1 in 135 million and a bit. I imagine to reach the break even point where you get a fair payoff on the odds being played at least for this mega millions one you would need a jackpot of well over $300 million and that is close to the record in US lotteries.

You really owe everyone on this thread an apology for your foolish support of this CROOK.

I hope these two parties use the good sense that G-d gave them and split the winnings. And may He also smite the fool that turns down $40-$50 million in the name of greed.

One of the lamest posts I've seen on FR. Ever!

She can choose to give it to charity, or spend it as she wishes, after all, she won it fair and square.

Why should she give a dime to someone she KNOWS is lying? Let alone $45 million.

There seems to be no shortage of talk on FR about Jesus and his teachings, but forgiveness seems to be in rather short supply at times.
Especially when it comes to money on a thread like this.

In my book, the only good thing you can do with that kind of money is to give a lot of it away or spend it on others that could really use a lift.
But that's my book. It says that it is in giving that we truly receive. Yours may be a different book.
