If illegals didn't undercut American citizens, picking fruit would pay a living wage.
maybe it's the back breaking nature of the work.
Americans work underground in coal mines under threat of cave-ins and poison gas.
Americans work as garbage men, outdoors in all kinds of weather, each man lifting several tons of stinking, leaking garbage every day.
Americans work in sewers and Americans work hundreds of feet in the air walking steel beams.
And you think Americans won't pick fruit?
There is no job American Citizens won't do
Yes. During the Great Depression thousands of 'Okies' came in search of work. Picking fruit, nuts and vegies wasn't beneath them in order to scrape by and feed their families. They were treated horribly for doing what was necessary. It could be, that history keeps Americans from doing migrant work. As Americans we have a choice and a determination to make good money. Migrant work doesn't pay.
