You were willing to pay an hispanic man, who is probably illegal $15/hr, and your neighbors kid $8/hr. Why didn't you offer the kid more? Your logic is totally flawed.
You know one way to do that is make them legal...
If we get rid of the 11 million or so illegal aliens working in the country now who will do that work? **
Last I checked today there are currently only 8.9 million* employable americans without jobs, and the economy is quickly absorbing them now.
Of those many are already in transition to a new job.
So what happens if we take your advice?
Who does all the work? Every able hand would have to go to work! many of those have no desire to work.
Many more have even less desire to work picking up my Brush pile! Many have a different skillset.
Many in those numbers would have to be forced into picking up my brush pile, or would only do it for a very high price.
How does the market move skills to the most efficient area if it is paralyzed by full employment?
Get rid of welfare and you motivate a lot of people to work.
