On my second visit to the US in the early 1980s I went from coast to coast by Amtrak. I got talking to a guy who had just finished high school. He asked me, "Hey, are you from New Zealand? Drinking alcohol and flying in an airplane at high altitudes do not seem to mix. I have posted the question before as to whether or not the altitude has anything to do with alcohol consumption, where seemingly "normal" persons turn into raving lunatics while flying
