According to AA's website, AA4959 is indeed an American Eagle flight. It's listed as a plane type "ER3", which is an Embraer ERJ-135, a Brazilian-built 37-seat twinjet.

FOX News reports the reason for the flight diversion was a passenger passed a note to the flight attendant that he had a bomb ! She alerted the pilot who got instruction to go to Dulles instead of Reagan ...

Airports authority spokemsan Tara Hamilton said that FBI agents took a man into custody after questioning him aboard the plane. The other 23 passengers were questioned and released.

The F.N.C. anchors are truly clueless on this one....Female anchor: "NTSB spokesperson told us that passenger handed..." NTSB? I don't think so...try TSA. Male anchor:"...have you notified all towers/airlines of this incident Mr. TSA?" Huh? Fox anchor quality takes a big dive on the weekends.
