Last time I flew into Reagan we were told if anyone got our of their seat during the last 30 minutes we would be diverted to Dulles and it would be up to us to get our own transportation to DC.
That is AFTER we finished with the FBI, so this sounds like standard procedure.

That is AFTER we finished with the FBI, so this sounds like standard procedure.It is, because practically all of Washington is directly in Reagan National's flight path. In fact, the feds gave serious consideration to keeping Reagan closed permanently after the 9/11 groundings. It did remain closed for weeks afterwards, and when it reopened, there were two new rules: 1) Any movement on the plane for the first 30 minutes out or last 30 minutes in equals mandatory diversion. 2) All flights incoming and outgoing have sky marshals on board. It's about the only time you can be 100% sure of it.
