LOL...........I carried a neat little toy that was much lighter than a claymore for E&E drills.........

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/munitions/pdm.htm

I could carry a couple dozen of these vs two prepped M18A1's.

Stay Safe

BTW....the solution for those late night visitors aside from the 12 gauge is to sleep in yer cammie jammies and leave the paint ball chine gun next to the bed. As ya jump up to go check , take yer paint balls outta the freezer and dump em in the hopper and lay waste to the sappers in the wire. At close range they will suffer and by the time the LEO's show up yer lethal ammo will have thawed and just explain that your friends who died were pussies with thin skin and could'nt take it !!

Disclaimer: Frozen paint balls will put a serious hurtin on your target. Lethal at close range when frozen solid on any hits above the neck. Kinda like a hailstone claymore.

Roger your last.... my wait was also about 14 months..
Direct from the factory was quoted at over 3.5 years!

Yes - at Nordic, they require on a small deposit to buy the que space for any knife they have on order -- and if a buyer does NOT buy - THAT knife goes up for grabs to the first caller that wants that model.

This thread has jolted my conscience...and I'm starting to feel bad, not having one on hand for the youngest "new" grandson.... Plenty of room in my new "BIG ASSED" vault.

"First, man you guys must love those Randalls....lord a mercy...you could outfit a squad with Norinco SKS(s) or Nagants for the price of their Cadillac versions.

True......in both regards...

But - I'm not interested in outfitting a squad!
I'm a freaking retired old civilian fart!

I've become a selfish, self centered old man - interested ONLY in spoiling my grandchildren, and SELF GRATIFICATION! (Don't take that wrong, either)

Plus, I kind of think it's nice to give your grandchildren, things that mean something to you and that you believe is the very best you can give, and may become unavailable by the time they grow up..... But, I hate to admit.......You're right.. It's crazy.

"Oh yeah, one of these days...I refine my blueprints daily!

If you're building a new home, or if you have poured or block basement walls --- the CHEAPEST/EASIEST way to have a MARVELOUS vault is to pour or block out the space you want to devote to the vault and simply leave the precise roughed in door way with the floor flush to accept a standard prehung "Vault Door".

During construction - you can reinforce the roof of the vault to deter entry from above...

My soninlaw justified his to my penny pinching daughter - by calmly explaining that it would serve double duty as the family tornado and hurricane shelter. Pieces of 3/8" steel plate were bought by the contractor from a junk yard and welded to the vault's dropped ceiling cross beams...

I believe the HEAVY duty prehung vault type door cost him about $3,000 - delivered.. The local dealer arranged to have a crew come to the site and install the door and train in its use. The TRICK to door installation is to have the door/frame precisely positioned and SECURED so that the door will swing easily and stop wherever you place it.. I would not trust the average home contractor to deal with these massive doors.
If memory serves, he bought his door from the same company that built my free standing floor vault - National Security. The door is beautiful and STRONG - it also has the NECESSARY feature of having a lock release that you can use from the INSIDE.

He ended up with a finished 9x15 vault/shelter in the dark back below grade corner of his basement... An area that would have been just a collector of mildewed junk, if he had not put in the vault. Just think about all the things you could do with a secured space like that and the peace of mind it provides where the weather get really foul.

Yeah it's based on a based ejection arty shell that spews ADAM mines out of the ass end over a selected area. Sort of an Arty version of a cluster bomb. The small "bobbins" of line eject out and spider web the trail/path behind ya and then it delay arms and waits for the trackers. KaBloooey !

Easier to set up than a M18A1 and twice as fast ....Just pull the pin and toss over your sholder while still on the run down an alley or back street !

Stay Safe !

If you can just toss it, how does it eject the main charge up to shoulder height like the website says?

Can you set the self destruct time interval, or do they come preset?

The bobbins eject with the trip lines....not the charge. The charge is a slug that lays there. The bobbins eject and just do the spider web thang........if that web site says it acts like a bouncing betty they lie !

Check FRmail....
