Did anybody watch the tasteless parody of Rush on Fox's pre-game show? It started off by Rush saying he was responsible for McNabb's success. Then a caller asks who's going to win the game. Why Greenbay is Rush said because they have a white quarterback. They had him wanting to pop pills. At one point, McNabb shows up and starts beating the crap out of Rush. During the beating he makes a request for his painkillers. I'm not a Rush fan, but this was trash. They should be ashamed of the implied racism.

Poor Rush.

Actually, it was funny.
All sacred cows should be skewered!
Lighten up. It's a joke based on Rush's stooopidity. Or maybe the drugs.

This was a vicious racist attack on Rush and way over the top. Nothing is politically incorrect when it comes to attacking successful white conservatives.

Pooor Pooooor Rush... All that money and not an oxycontin to be found... shoulda bought a bong for his after hours entertainment.
Ohh wait, they busted Tommy Chong.

I didn't see it, but my husband, who isn't the "sensitive" type, told me it was so embarrassing and over the top. He said it portrayed him as really fat, popping pills and somebody was simulating beating him up behind the desk. Can you name ONE other person that the mainstream media would insult like this?

P.S. - I think Rush will survive.

I have to say I'm shocked that there isn't more outrage on this board.

Yeah it was tasteless but humor is the best way to defuse the controversy. I thought it was pretty funny myself. We have to keep in mind that rush is an excellent political commentator. And I personally enjoy listening to him. But thats all he is is an entertainer. I was wondering if he gave them permission to use his name for this parody.
He (and we) had better suck it up because He currently serves as a pinyata for angry liberals. It's only going to get worse.

I don't watch pregame shows. To me, it's just a bunch of over the hill, retired, ex-jocks trying to justify their existence by looking and sounding "knowledgeable". (BARF!)

It ended with someone in a McNabb jersey beating the hell out of that idiot playing RUsh.
Rush fan or not, it was in extremely poor taste.
Could anyone imagine a similar skit where a white guy beats the hell out of a black guy in a similar skit.
The double-standard lives on.

Seems to me that it was implied racism to have McNabb beat up Rush.

Actually, the guy in the McNabb jersey was white as well - thought that was rather strange...

Isn't that supposed to be 'stoopid'? :)

Perhaps we can make one of Sheila Jackson Lee at the Mars lander hearings, asking officials if the lander would be able to see the flag planted by astronauts. At the end, it could show a disgruntled astronaut in a space suit beating the crap out of her. See what happens then.
