[history]
January 12, 2004 -- It's the all-new Baghdad Bob - he's cleaned up his act, dyed his hair and he's back on the air. Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi minister of disinformation who became famous for his absurd daily reports that Iraq was winning the war, has popped up on Arab television as a commentator - as these new exclusive photos show.

So a laughing-stock of a liar is hired by Abu Dhabi TV as a commentator.
Lest anyone doubt that Arab media is the worst on the planet...

Bear with me a second. I just want to see how this sounds.
"This is ABC's World News Tonight with Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf."

Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, the Iraqi minister of disinformation who became famous for his absurd daily reports that Iraq was winning the war...was hired by Abu Dhabi TV specifically to rant about his former boss and favorite subject: Saddam Hussein. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Poor mainstream journalists will once more have to choose between trusting Baghdad Bob or trusting SOD Rumsfeld. A few heads may explode.

Ok, raise your hand if you were sad when his supposed death was announced. I don't think I've had such a hearty laugh since his daily reports.

I was hoping Babghdad Bob had a sense of humor but he apparently doesn't. He could have made a good living out of writing a few books on how to convince yourself and other nincompoops things that are not real. Heck, he could have been a instructional/inspirational speaker at the DNC meetings regarding their presidential hopes.
Seriously, this guy doesn't have a clue how big his cult following is and how he could capitalize on it. Yup, he is still a moron with no grasp on reality.

"I'm surprised CNN didn't snatch him up." C-bs would be another choice for Baghdad Bob as he would be a perfect replacement for the retiring Dan Blather!!

This is a belated Christmas present to us all. Personally, I would love to see him on CNN or the BBC. Well, actually, I take that back, Baghdad Bob has higher journalistic ethics than those two networks, so he wouldn't fit in there.

IMO Bag-dad Bob probably helped us more than hurt us. Particularly if the Iraqi generals believed what he was saying.

I wouldn't complain if Fox News snatched him up. Put him on after midnight for all us night owls who don't feel like watching reruns of Hannity or O'Reiley.

Amazing to think that any MEDIA outlet would hire a former INFORMATION minister that only provided blatantly FALSE information. How could anyone take his reporting seriously? Is it that the cultural differences are so great that obvious lies are overlooked just to save face? Very very strange indeed!!
