Kay this was already posted but before this turns into another dump Bush thread. The article is pointed at the state and local governments refusal to cooperate with the Feds in enforcing immigration laws. This has been a point I have been making for 3 days around here. The INS has only 1500 field agents to enforce the laws and without the cooperation of the locals it is IMPOSSIBLE to do anything effective.

I think our federal borders are national borders, and not controlled by the states. If the federal government would have started doing their job 30 years ago, we wouldn't be in the mess we are today.

The problem is, the federal government doesn't want to control the borders or secure our sovereignty. Bush implementing slow motion, incremental amnesty to millions kinda of proves this. Only problem now is that the overall majority of American's aren't buying Bush's plan. It's a fraud, plain and simple.
