The mutual disarmament came amid speculation that the Dean-Gephardt fisticuffs could turn off voters and boost Edwards and Kerry, the two candidates who seem to have the most momentum and most enthusiastic crowds.
"We found out that Dean was taking his ad off the air, so we immediately sent word to cancel ours - we had no desire to run a negative ad, but we're not going to let Dean tear down Dick Gephardt," said Gephardt campaign manager Steve Murphy.

This whole "traitor/treason" Democrat Iowa Caucus is boring!!! These Democrats are all losers! The Democrat Party should be destroyed at the ballot box and put out of its misery. Can you possibly imagine that after six months and tons of money spent, the Democrat Caucus attendess don't know who they will vote for? Doesn't say too much for both their brains and the political party they are in! What idiots! And....the media just fawns along! Good thing most Americans could care less!

It's too late for Dean. He's already bared his ugly, spiteful, mean-spirited little soul. He's outed himself.

I'm really sorry about that. I was hoping that he would wait until after he got the nomination to go down in flames.
Of course, after he got the nomination the press wouldn't have been piling on.

Yes, I'm torn two ways about this. Half of me is delighted to see Dean's chickens come home to roost. The other half of me feels the way you do about it.

In another twist, a Gen. Wesley Clark supporter and two other lawyers, including Michael Ng of New York, asked federal regulators to probe Dean's sale of $15,000 in Vermont bank stocks as possible insider trading. The Dean camp called that "11th-hour dirty politics." Waaaaaaaah! LOL!

A Zogby tracking poll has Kerry 5 points ahead, although a Research 2000 poll has Dean at 22, percent Kerry and Edwards tied at 21, and Gephardt at 18 - a statistical tie. Edwards is at 21% .. How did that happen??
Yesterday he was at 15%
And I can't help notice there haven't been any attack on him that I know of
And how did the news about Carol leak out?
