Am I scaring someone with too many FACTS? I'm not known as an excellent grammar configuration poster, why all this confusion? This thread is about "illegal immigration" not an English class. Start your own thread on proper writing if my style is annoying you.

Fan this out nationwide and ask where is the money for Bush's new plans going to come from? We are going downhill faster and faster. I wish the BushBots could see it.
"And here was the killer: Their tax liability dropped from $15 billion to just under $8 billion."
"The money lost to the treasury that year would have been enough to pay for the state's entire commitment to higher education, or most of the cost of the Medi-Cal system that provides health care to six million of California's poorest residents. "

The rest of the world will not chip in to help pay for the $5 billion space initiative, to recover the $1.5 Billion for the promotion of marriage, or pay for the unfunded prescription drug plans in the Medicare program, the TSA's crazy costs, the agriculture Bill, the Dept. of Homeland Security stumbling, the steel tariffs, they aren't going to help promote the proposal to cut U.S. manufacturers taxes nor the horrendously costly "temporary worker" idea.

"Am I scaring someone with too many FACTS?"Your "facts" are in serious questionso serious, apparently, that the Admin Moderator had to step in to edit them. In any case, this isn't a post about facts, it's a post about emotions, and I learned a long time ago that arguing emotions with people is a waste of time.
But hey, you want facts, we'll talk facts. The fact is that this whole ill-conceived scheme of yours24 hours from arrest to deportation, armies of civilian informants, paperworked checked by civilian volunteers, internal travel papers and state border checkpoints, and all of this enacted by executive fiat without any input from Congresswould be hooted out of the forum if posted during a Democratic administration. I don't want to live in a police state, even if the Warden in Chief has an (R) behind his name.
No one's opinions on the subject are going to be changed by your vanity post. Nothing you suggest here can ever happen, because the American people, especially the American people who wrote the Constitution, have far too much common sense to tolerate it. In fact, if you insist on presenting this as the only viable alternative to Bush's guest-worker program, you might just wind up convincing some people that you're rightat which point they would pick the guest-worker plan as being by far the lesser of two evils. About the only good that can possibly come from this thread is if we have somehow managed to educate one or two people in the proper use of apostrophes.
