Agreed.

The lurkers will see who is rational, and discussing the issue (as you were), and the irrational 'foil' who convinces no one of his point of view, but exposes his own lack of coherent thought process, and most likely drives others away.

In the end, the good guys win. :o)

God Bless You and God Bless Our Amazing President. Your story is so touching after these years. Never Forget NY. This thread is truly wonderful and healing after all the Bush bashiing. He also threw that strike with some heat. I never noticed that he throws right even though he is a lefty. He is simply the greatest President of my life which is no slight on Ronald Reagan who is his hero. I just love this President

Pray for W and Our Brave Troops

Yeah. I remember having so much hope that America had a true statesman for a leader. Then he went and betrayed us on McCain-Feingold. Now he stands ready to betray us again on immigration, and the Assault Weapons Bill! My bubble has burst.

What a wonderful thread! Thank you very sincerely to each who conceived it and who posted those memorable pictures. We are blessed with a truly fine President, one with character, courage, insight, humanity, and a very strong sense of duty. An important component of that sense of duty is the understanding that his duty is to do the right thing, according to the very best of his ability to identify what is right. I believe his statement that the design of his immigration reform proposals was determined by deciding what would be the right thing to do. It is the right thing to do with regard to the individuals crossing the border, and it is the right thing to do from the viewpoint of the best interests of our country. Our national economic interests will, indeed, be served by expanding our work force that is active in the above-ground economy. We can have no better source of new workers than those who, by and large, share our family values and Christianity. I say this as a conservative, one who cast my first Presidential vote for Barry Goldwater, and one who came to conservatism from a tenant farm childhood and a one-party Democrat state. We must do our parts to let our President know he has our continuing support. Thanks again.

Beautiful, Wizard. I remember that, too. And I held my breath, along with everyone else.

I just stayed up to watch the movie "9|11 DC" by Leon (?) Chetwynd. Excellent. (Even showed the real footage of Hellary at the speech before the House and Senate ... and Bill and her leaving the National Cathedral - early, was it?)

It took me right back to that time, 28 months ago. How far the Democrats have drifted ... or run.

No, I don't agree with everything (immigration proposal) the President has brought forward. But I am proud, and grateful, that this man has been our president during this time.
