The source link is still offering "Our apologies."

Someone from DU has posted this to Buzzflash in full (no additional details). The original report is not even on Google News now (but Google News considers the Buzzflash Blog a "news" site). Funny how in my correspondence with the operator of Google News, complaints about violent hate speech ("shoot our troops" and "Bush is Hitler" - a phrase denounced by the Simon Weisenthal Center and others) fell on deaf ears because they occurred in the forum portion of DUh and not the "editorial" which is what Google considers "news". Yet here is another discussion blog listed as "news".

I'd like to know the real story of what happened and why the media dropped coverage of this event. What made them change their minds?
