In all fairness, Rushdie is an arrogant ass who, prior to the publishing of the Satanic Verses, seldom had a kind word for the West. After the fatwa, he came running to the West for protection.

I saw him on local TV when he was here last week giving an interview with his eye-candy harlot of a girlfriend (who is old enough to be his younger daughter for God's sake).
