"She stated her husband had been yelling at her that morning to get her kid to school on time, and her kid had been crying,"Well, there ya go, a perfectly acceptable excuse to break the law.

"She stated her husband had been yelling at her that morning to get her kid to school on time..." An interesting statement by the mother. It makes me wonder what could put that kind of fear into a woman by her husband. Any rational woman in a normal relationship would not have been driven to such acts for failing to fulfill what would appear to be a harmless directive from her husband.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong on their homefront but it does seem a bit odd.

On the way to jail, Taylor apologized, he said. Well, then, that should make everything okay. Besides, her husband made her do it. And besides, the kid was crying. All of us parents know what affect a crying kid has on our judgement. What else was she supposed to do?
