January 20, 2004 -- In an Iowa meltdown, Howard Dean got socked with a disastrous third-place finish last night, as John Kerry pulled off a stunning political comeback to win the first-in-the-nation Democratic contest for president.

Dean's collapse, combined with the combined surge of Sen. Kerry (Mass.) and Sen. John Edwards (N.C.), who finished second, threw the race wide open.

Wes Clark's hatchet man will have a field day with the news clips from last night.

Does anyone know how much money he has left? It would be interesting to see what the NH polls do after that demonstration of hate came spilling out. Who, in their right mind, could ignore his incredibly poor behavior?

LOL!

The rest of the candidates are an awful bunch. Kerry throwing his military medals, insulting our men and women in the military, and lying, lying, lying. Edwards who would promote the lawsuit industry, etc.

In fact, labor really lost it big time since organized labor were the big backers of both Dean and Gebhardt. I don't think I ever saw a tape or photo of Gebhardt where he wasn't surrounded by labor union reps.

Rolling up his ragged shirt sleeves and shrieking so loud that his voice hissed and cracked, a raging Deangol rallied his orcs with forced optimism and a pugilistic tone that stood in contrast to the formal upbeat speeches by his opponents.

"Filthy little thievessss!! Nassssty hobbitses! They sssssstole it from ussss, MY PRECIOUSS! AAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!" Deangol said, sounding like he was coughing up a fish bone.

Dean and Nader. Nader and Dean. Either team would be a powerful third party for the Kool-Aid drinking set.

"We will not give up. We will not quit, now or ever. We have just begun to fight. We have just begun to fight."

How pathetic, its like a spider struggle for survival in the toilet bowl. Just before it reaches dry porcelain.... flush

Darn! I was hoping he would hold it together just long enough to win the nomination before going around the bend.

The nice thing is that the race for the "Anti-Dean" just got more muddled...

What is a loyal Clintonista to do in New Hampshire? Up to yesterday, the answer was to vote for Clark as the one most likely to stop Dean. Now you have to consider Kerry and even Edwards as being able to stop him.

You can just see John Edwards, eight days from now, standing in the snow in New Hampshire after coming in second, saying, "Thank you New Hampshire for making John Edwards the Comeback Kid!"

So the Democrats will have a choice between a Clinton clone, and Clinton stooge and Ketchup Boy. Looks like win/win/win to me!

I'm curioius to see what Leno, Letterman, SNL et al do with Deans rant. maybe even the daily show...

I'm looking forward to the Daily Show. Imus is back after a three day weekend and he should have some good stuff. Craig Crawford is on at 6:30 this morning.

Voter turnout was huge - double what it was four years ago - and 46 percent told pollsters they were going into the caucuses for the first time.

Clintonistas knock off Dean in Iowa by packing the ballot box. The Hildabeast want deperatly to hold on to DNC and the money. The trick is to knock "The mouth" off and get his contributor list.

Deano is really PI$$ed,I smell third party in his never give up speech.

Pretty soon the good Doc can take a powder, go off to Aspen and take to the powder!

You know how the Kerry campaign found the guy John Kerry saved? Well, maybe now they can find someone Dean skied with in Aspen during VietNam. <^..^>

Yes, I want to catch the first half hour of Limbaugh's show. In addition to CQ's Crawford, Imus will have Chris Matthews on sometime this morning. I can't take Hardball but I like it when he is a guest on the I-Man's show.

Maybe, just maybe, labor union members are fed up with their leadership and their politicians not taking a Tom Tancredo kind of approach toward our nation, its borders, and its jobs.
