IMHO, Mr. Malone has a very good grasp of the Iowa results. I witnessed the same effect last fall in our local Loudoun County, VA Board of Supervisors, Chairman of the Board race. Overkill amounts of: automated phone calls, direct mail and the coupling of entirely too many attacks with these voter outreaches resulted in the Republican candidate POing just enough of his base to lose the election his GOP colleagues mostly prevailed in.
