Girolami refused, saying Stanislaus State should handle the investigation.

So we're all supposed to just forget about this LYING and CHEATING that were alleged? I guess that's how many liars and cheaters not only get away with it time and again, but survive to throw it in our faces: nobody wants to bring them face to face with the truth, everybody wants to pass the buck.

Geragos pointed out that a major expansion of Orange County's airport would make travel convenient for witnesses. He also said that Jackie Peterson, Scott Peterson's mother, is on a waiting list for an organ transplant, and having the trial in Orange County, about an hour for her home, would be more convenient for her.

This statement makes me incredibly angry.

Skip the toilet paper crafts and get the guy some Clearasil and some toothpicks. Guess a roll of dental floss is out of the question (too dangerous), but I hate that "sucking teeth" habit he has, too. It absolutely destroys his "unapproachable" polished image.

And after he sucks his teeth, his eyes drop down and he scans his nose. He's just plain unapproachable to look at!!

Breaking News: Judge appointed for Peterson trial
BEE STAFF REPORTS

Last Updated: January 21, 2004, 12:23:33 PM PST

The Judicial Council of California has appointed retired Judge Richard Arnason to preside over Scott Peterson’s double murder case.
Arnason, 82, was appointed to the Contra Costa County Superior Court in 1963 by Gov. Edmund G. "Pat" Brown and retired in 1995.

But he never left the bench. He still presides over trials in Contra Costa County and is paid $529.32 per day through the state’s assigned judges program.

Arnason presided over the sensational murder-kidnapping trial of Angela Davis in 1972. He also has extensive experience with death penalty cases.

Peterson's trial, which has been moved to the San Mateo County Superior Court, is set to begin Monday, but prosecutors are expected to seek at least a two-week delay so they can move files and personnel.

Peterson, 31, is charged with murdering his wife, Laci, and their unborn son, Conner. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Wow, 82 years old!

Let's see... Angela Davis was acquitted, wasn't she? Course, that was the jury, not really the judge... well, I for one will have to wait and see, regarding this judge's leanings--and IMO, they all have "leanings", try though they might to be totally impartial.

Skip the toilet paper crafts

Now, now, Sandy, there's no need to be so tough on the boy, toilet paper origami can be very therapeutic!
