American Life League's Rock for Life, the nation's premier pro- life youth organization, will host its annual week of training and activism beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 21, through Thursday, Jan. 22. Rock for Life's mission is to educate, activate, mobilize and unite the youth of our nation to fight the Culture of Death. "The young people of this nation-31 years old and younger-are under direct assault by the likes of Planned Parenthood, NOW and NARAL, as well as by foolish policies from the FDA," said Jason Jones, director of American Life League's youth outreach. "It will be this generation, through activism and education, that will end decriminalized abortion." Jan. 22 marks the 31st anniversary of the Supreme Court decisions that permitted abortion on demand.

Event details of American Life League's Rock for Life training and activism week:

Wednesday, Jan. 21:

9 a.m.: Peaceful Prayer & Protest -- Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic, 1108 16th St. NW, Washington, DC

11:30 a.m.: Protest of RU-486 & Plan B -- FDA Building, 200 C St. SW, Washington, DC

American Life League Press Conference Jan. 22 to Unveil Ad Campaign 'The Way of La Crosse'

To: Assignment Desk and Daybook Editor

Contact: Joseph R. Giganti of the American Life League, 703-928-9695 or jgiganti@all.org News Advisory:

This Thursday, Jan. 22, American Life League (ALL) will hold a press conference at the National Press Club at 10 a.m. EST. On the 31st anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade and Doe vs. Bolton Supreme Court decisions, American Life League's Crusade for the Defense of Our Catholic Church will unveil its latest ad campaign. "The Way of La Crosse" pays tribute to Bishop Raymond Burke of La Crosse, Wis., who recently issued a formal decree that stated that Catholic politicians who openly support abortion could no longer receive Holy Communion until they publicly recant their sinful stance.

"It is our sincere hope that Bishop Burke's actions will not only inspire similar actions from his brother bishops individually, but that they will also serve as a template for how the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' new task force deals with pro-abortion Catholic politicians nationwide," said Joseph M. Starrs, director of American Life League's Crusade. "They must send out a clear, unambiguous message, backed by the full authority of their office: you cannot be pro-abortion and Catholic."

The new ad will run Jan. 22 in the Washington Times and nationally in other publications.

WHAT:

"You Can't Be Catholic and Pro-Abortion" Press Conference

WHO:

-- Joseph M. Starrs, ALL crusade director

-- Joseph R. Giganti, ALL media & govt. relations

WHERE:

National Press Club, Holeman Lounge, 529 14th St. N.W., 13th Floor, Washington, D.C.

WHEN:

Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 a.m.

Light refreshments will be served

RSVP: Joe Giganti at 703-928-9695 or email jgiganti@all.org

My son will be on-hand tomorrow, with some of his high school class (thank you, Mt. St. Joe).

Then, after he gets home, he sits for his Eagle Scout Board of Review.

Not a bad week for a kid who's smarter than his old man, and has started to work on wiser...

Today I pulled out a shirt I've only worn twice since I bought it. I figured "yeah I'll wear this shirt today since it's cold and I'll have another shirt on, so noone can give me crap about it."

It just happened to be my ABORTION = HOMICIDE shirt.

Coincidance?

Thanks for the ping, Grammie.

How very awesome these young people are gathering together to stand up for the unborn. I'm so blessed to hear of this. Wonder if the national news will cover it....and if so, will it be positive or a typical slam on those that love life. Hmmm.

Praying <><

Most pro-life Freepers are aware of the history of Planned Parenthood. For those that aren't, check this thread.

My 17-year old son left late last night with the youth group from our Catholic Church. This is his 3rd time going - our oldest son has been there for this event twice--one of those times coinciding with the freeper Inaugural Event which our entire family attended!!

Anyway - I'm planning on watching the March on EWTN Thursday - my son will be boarding the bus to come home tomorrow evening - ready for pick-up from the bus around 7:00 am Friday morning!!--ah - Youth!!

I just sent this note to my local TV station managers and newspaper editor...please feel free to copy it and do the same.....

Dear xxxxxxxx,

There is a HUGE March for LIfe going on right now in DC. Please cover this important event.

The majority of Americans are OPPOSED to unlimited abortion on demand.

Please be fair on this issue and give it good coverage.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
