..Byron .....isn't The Age a left leaning newspaper?..Yes mate, it is.
Somehow this piece must have slipped through to the keeper, as we say Downunder.

You aren't alone in that my friend.
After seeing the daily outpouring of vitriol and hate toward anything and everything to do with our president this article was like a breath of fresh air because it is clear, insightful and TRUE.

I thought so....thanks Byron.

Great article Mate. It's good this reporter gets out of New York and DC to be able to talk with Americans and to understand us. She gets it more than most of our home-grown newsies do.

Here is my take on how many non involved voters (mostly centrists) arrive at voting decisions. When I started looking at this 30 years ago it blew my mind.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST FATTEST LIE OF ALL. Just because Saddam was successful at hiding his WMD .. doesn't mean IT DOESN'T EXIST.

the aussies need to understand that the things conservatives dislike about bush, are the things we dislike about all politicians in general.

Thanks. I was asking because I think someone on another board tossed similar numbers at me earlier today. I posted it here on FR hoping someone would recognize it, but it got pulled after 9 posts.

Thanks for the great read, Byron.
The price of freedom is high. You might think you would not sacrifice your life for it, but maybe you don't have to. After all, 20-year-old Americans are doing it for you, every day.

President Bush is the right leader for this point in time in history. I am convinced if a RAT wins the White House he, or she, will reverse course and the US will find itself at the mercy of the UN. Illegal immigration, spending, outsourced jobsall those hot-button issues will be replaced with a new set of issues, and it wont be pretty.

Thanks for the ping Texokie!
Most Americans still think Bush did the right thing in getting rid of Saddam Hussein, writes Caroline Overington.
There is going to be a presidential election in the United States in November and George Bush is going to win. President Bush's approval rating is around 60 per cent. That's comparable with Ronald Reagan in 1984, who redefined the term "landslide" when he won 49 of the 50 states.
