What a great list of suggestions. I liked the one that said learn to make something beautiful with your hands. I had already decided that I want to learn how to knit so this is just one more prod in that direction. The weather is supposed to be nasty this weekend so maybe I'll be able to work on that this weekend.

Of course I liked the one that said to get your next pet from the animal shelter since that's where Bubba and Lucy both came from. :)

After watching Kennedy's head-nods and eye-rolls, you are quite the man to listen to Commies Pelosi and Dashole...I couldn't bear to watch them "spew" (gag). I'm sure what they had to say was nothing but drivel! : )

Wasn't that awful? I was appalled by his behavior during the president's speech. I listened to Pelosi and Daschle but wasn't really watching them. The only thing I can say about Pelosi was she stumbled over the words a lot. Almost like she never rehersed the speech. I was a little embarrassed for her performance. And people give W. a hard time when he stumbles over words.

Boy,that all rings true for me. I'm just recovering from a horrible stomach virus -- 48 hours of misery -- and you know when you get better you really appreciate this lovely garden we all live in? Just as I was getting better the postman brought me a LOVELY stuffed teddy bear with golden wings from a special friend, and the timing on that couldn't have been better. I've lost 5 pounds in 2 days the hard way, and a teddy bear was just what I needed! Great thread, {{{dutchess}}}

My cheerspreading today is to tell everyone Spookbrat says hello and she misses you all. I had the pleasure of meeting her yesterday at a local bakery/cafe and got to visit with Allison and Jonah as well. She's as much of a sweetheart in person as she is online--but those of you who've met her know that. :) We had a great time and probably could have talked all night but the President had to go and schedule his State of the Union address... She and the kids will be returning to Florida in the next couple of days, please pray they have a safe journey back home. I know she can't wait to get back and tell all about her trip. :)

Oh, btw ... Happy Chinese New Years, everybody ! Chinese New Years is tomorrow, but it's already tomorrow there right now. My wife got on the phone this morning and talked to her family in China to wish them a Happy New Year. She was on the phone for probably an hour. Good thing she gets cheap phone cards from her sister, lol !
