Zimbabwean police have reportedly vacated the offices of the country's only privately-owned daily newspaper.
A legal advisor to the Daily News told BBC News Online that after being served with a court order, the police had left the offices and printing press.
"If nothing changes, we will be able to get an edition out early [on Thursday] morning," said Gugulethu Moyo.
The paper, a fierce critic of President Robert Mugabe, was shut down in September 2003 under a new press law.
Ms Moyo said the paper had not had any contact with the government following Wednesday's court order.
Information Minister Jonathan Moyo described a previous court order against the police as "academic".
Since opening in 1999, the Daily News has seen its editors arrested on several occasions and its printing press was bombed in January 2001.
The government controls Zimbabwe's two other daily newspapers and all television and radio stations.
