[history]
The top leaders of the Maricopa County Republican Committee passed a resolution demanding that the federal government enforce existing immigration laws and opposed any amnesty program for undocumented immigrants.
The resolution stops short of outright attacking President Bush's guest-worker proposal, as some members had wanted, and exposes the growing rift within the GOP over how to deal with the thorny issue of illegal immigration.

One thing to 'overcome', is the *rat* governor, who announced she would never close AZ's borders, even if we suffered another attack.
GOOD WORK !! Maricopa County & 'Sheriff Joe' for enforcing US Laws.

After a contentious debate, the Maricopa County Republican Executive Guidance Committee narrowly passed the resolution, 12-11... The vote shows 11 are out of touch with their constituents, like so many politicians.
When the PAN initiative gets on the ballot it will pass overwhelmingly. And maybe it will take down those who refuse to get with the program and stop the pandering.

How long would it take to get a FReeper Patrol out of Cochise County for a job in Maicopa County? A protest against amnesty was held outside the location where Bush was visiting yesterday. I don't know if anyone from Cochise County went up there.
I've made contact with the Maricopa County GOP and the author of one of the resolutions. I intend to offer these same resolutions at the next meeting of the Cochise County Republican Committee.

I have failed to hear mention of the protest on the news all day. Why does that surprise me?
Good to hear something is going your way, even tho it only passed by 1 vote. As they say, Rome was not built in a day, so maybe step by step things will begin to fall in place.
Tha is, if the Nation lasts that long.

Yes I would. I didn't realize there was a big agriculture presence. I figured ranchers were king.
