Dryly worded press release referring to the little-publicized return from mass graves in Serbia-proper of murdered Kosovar Albanians to their relatives in Kosovo. Based on Milosevic's "clean the terrain" order, the bodies of at least 800 ethnic Albanians were transported to Serbia and hidden in mass graves; to include at a Serbian special police training area outside Belgrade. 195 positively identified bodies have been returned already. 246 other bodies have been identified & are awaiting return while work is ongoing jointly between Belgrade and the UN Office of Missing Persons to identify approximately 450 more. The hunger strike is over the delays in returning the remaining bodies, but it is promising that Serbia is starting to face up to the crimes of the Milosevic regime. Maybe it is time for some FReepers to do the same.

I thought it was 100,000 in mass graves? How many Serbs have been murdered by Albanians since Clinton's little wag the dog war there? How many driven out of Kosovo? How many ancient Orthodox churches burned, blown up, and bulldozed? Wasn't Milosevic just elected from prison to parliment in Serbia?

I think you should face the truth.

Are these bodies male/female, old/young or what?

Another question for you. Of all the many different ethnicities within Serbia, why would Slobo only choose one of them to cleanse? Why not the Gypsies? Was it arbitrary?

You are overjoyed that Islamics control a greater part of Europe than 10 years ago. Out with the Christians and in with the Albanian Muslims.

I have no doubt that there were attrocities.....however, we went to war, dropped carpet bombs on innocent civilians and maternity wards because we were told that there were 10,000 bodies in mass graves....not 800...

would 800 bodies be worth a war?...maybe.....I don't know....

when you read these kinds of stories, I have to keep asking myself what ethnic or racial or religious group in the world is the most evil, the most inhumane, the most diabolical.....

...and there are so many choices, sadly....

Based on Milosevic's "clean the terrain" order...

What order is that? Is it in evidence at his trial?

If things were so bad for the Albanians in Serbia, then why didn't they go back to Albania? People with a homeland aren't going to stick around in some other land for people to kill them. One reason the Jews need Israel is so that kind of thing would not happen again.

Only 800? We mass buried more Muslims on the highway of death out of Kuwait. Enemy Combatants, especially those not in uniform are not covered under the Geneva conventions. Maybe next time we can triple the score.

They say Mr D is a hard man to find these days. After wandering the Tetovo Republic for much of the year the talk is he may be back to Manila to watch the Hawk overthrow president Arroyo this Summer. However if you happen to find him roaming the Makati -- invest 13 pesos in a San Miguel and ask him about the Kosovo campaign...

The Serbs murdered plenty of innocent Albanian citizens -- no doubt about that. Just like Lincoln did to the Confederate States of America, Milosevic put down an insurrection. Unfortunately he sanctioned state-sponsored murder to protect the state per his constitutional duties.

Whether this was legal or not in the defence of the Republic is up to the historians to decide. The fact is Yugoslavia was destroyed because it no longer fit within the New World Order that seeks to enslave all mankind. The Albanians had been patient for more than a hundred years, then saw their chance and rolled the dice...

They won and the Serbs lost and Albanianism will rule the Balkans for the next half-century. Mr D's buddy -- Fatos Nano -- will outmaneuver the European Union while the United States continues to enjoy strategic access as the modern day Bismarck romps to victory after victory around the globe until 2008.

Then JD Hayworth will battle Hillary Clinton for the White House -- but that another story for another time. They say Mr D knows JD too, but to get that story you'll need to cough up 300 leke for a birra madthe on the Block in Tirana -- Mr D thinks JD will crush her...

The Serb killers were professional. Their Special Forces taught Wesley Clark and the Americans a number of lessons during the war -- especially at Rinas airport. Mr D seldom talks about the Prishtina gun battle the first week of December 1998 but one suspects he came away from it with a new understanding about how the betrayal of Yugoslavia would be consummated ---

Especially that which would would happen a few weeks later at Racak...

You can't blame Serbs for defending Yugoslavia -- which all in all was a pretty nice place. You can't blame Albanians for seeing their chance to redress Great Power wrongs committed long before the modern Yugoslav state was created and going for it.

There are plenty more bodies to be discovered. Europe is a bad place to commit genocide unless you have a good PR firm and an understanding of neo-conservative revisionism...

What's the price of oil these days? Where are all the Russian forces South of the Terek River that were there six weeks ago?

The forces of freedom on the move. Europe trembles.

I just have a couple comments to many of the posts in general.

I had a friend who served in the Army in Kosovo on the clean up detail. He told me many horror stories about picking up dead bodies for weeks. These were not people killed by US bombs, they were thousands and thousands of people killed on Milosovic's orders. My friend told me that they picked up bodies for two weeks in one location. When it was all cleaned up, he thought it was over. Then they went to another location. This went on for two months.

To say that there were not atrocities in Kosovo is to be blinded by your prejudice of Muslims or hatred of Clinton.

Secondly, the geographical difference between Kosovo and Irag can not be downplayed. Kosovo happen in Europe. This is very close to many of our closest (and oldest) allies, and threatened stability throughout the region. Things are definitely still unstable there. To say going there was wrong because it is still a mess is supremely short-sighted.

Iraq is and will continue to be a complete mess for many years to come. Is the region better off with our Murdering Saddam? Of course it is. That does not change the fact that Iraqis do not want us there, that they are heading in the direction of civil war... Which could bring Turkey into the mix... which will/could likely bring several other countries into the fray. We will either be bogged down there for 5 - 10 years, or we will pull out prematurely and leave a complete mess.

One other difference between Iraq and Kosovo... not such a small one - Kosovo: 0 American lives lost. Iraq: 504 Americans killed... (10,000+ wounded) and counting.

Both conflicts were the right thing to do for humanitarian reasons. I do have a problem with going to Iraq based on shoddy intelligence. I am still up in the air on whether I blame the Bush administration... at the very least, our CIA needs to be held accountable for the loss of credibility we have suffered from our incompetent intelligence efforts in Iraq.

I feel like if/when we need to address another/the next threat, many of our strongest and oldest allies will not be there for us... The boy who cried wolf?

We can not continue to go it alone (more or less). We will (if we have not already) get a very bad image in the world. Diplomacy, as difficult as it can be, is the greatest weapon in our National Security.

It's understandable to be pissed off about 9/11 and want revenge/retribution. However, good people such as Americans should seek justice, not revenge. If we want to claim the higher ground, we must keep the moral high bar at an ever challenging height.

They don't even give us the names and autopsy reports for these bodies. How do we know if they were KLA fighters or not?

Also, these bodies may have been dug up in Kosovo and then sent to Serbia for storage after the Milosevic government fell and the western installed puppet government was in power. There's never been any footage or pictures - from Serbia or international reporters of the graves or digging bodies up either.

There was a mass grave of Serbs and Roma in Dragodan (sp) cemetery in Kosovo who were killed after the war. The initial report by the UN was 900, but after that report, the UN was pressured to lower the number. A few Serbs were identified and transferred to Serbia. One was a woman, Petrija Pavlovic, who was last seen being taken by the KLA after the war.

Without publically identifying these bodies and giving the autopsy reports, we don't know if they were killed in battle or not, or what really happened.

Hey, can you post a pic of those Albanian freezer truck victims? I am sure such a crime is well documented with exumation photos all over the internet. What color was the truck? Why has no one been charged with the dead of these 800 people? Is it because they were refugees fleeing NATO into Serbia and because of that NATO made them a target? All Albanians fleeing into Serbia undermined the rational for war and thus were targeted while reporters and medical convoys from other nations going into Kosovo were also attacked. For the Serbs were able to move THOUSANDS of bodies (I know something about logistics) would require not onlya fleet of trucks but a fleet of drivers all while NATO's mighty airforce killed anything on wheels that moved and while they bombed precious fuel reserves. If the Serbs were able to do all that then they are magicians of the highest calibre.

The Freezer Truck Hoax

Such low numbers are hardly worthy of the claims for action made based upon them. To have heard CNN in justifying Clinton's petty war one would have thought we were talking about thousands upon thousands as in Iraq.

We certainly have seen the standards for action raised by the RATmedia haven't we? Wonder why stopping the Islamaniac invasion of Europe rates so low upon the elites list of problems?

Nato bombed thos convoy as it was moving into Montenegro, a republic of Yugoslavia. As you can note from the map the NATO spokesman even lied about the place on the road where the bombing took place to make it seem less like Albanian refugees fleeing Kosovo for Montenegro.

Nato pilot bombed refugees

'Bombed in good faith'

Mr Shea said the F-16 fighter pilot identified vehicles moving on the main road between Prizren and Djakovica, a route described by Nato as a key military supply corridor.

"The pilot attacked what he believed to be military vehicles," said Mr Shea. "He dropped his bomb in good faith, as you would expect of a trained pilot from a democratic country."

-----

No joke, that is what the bucked toothed Limey said. Note that the Albanian refugee convoy was bombed well past Djakovica. Can't have Albanians escaping deeper into Yugoslavia can we now? Bad show and all, wot?

I notice you titled your post with a headline completely different from the article's real title: OMPF Shares Concerns of the Council of Family Associations.

There is NO mention of "Albanian" bodies in either the title, nor the body of the article.

You have shown gross dishonesty. Why should we believe anything you say?

To the best of my knowledge, every single one of those stories about "Serb atrocities" which anybody has ever checked out has turned out to be fabricated BS. Serbs in my estimation are normal civilized people; Albanians, Chechens, and "Palestinians" I view as savages.

The worst of all the BS stories is that of Trnopolje, the Bosnian Serb "death camp" which turned out to be a refugee waystation.

After that one, I simply refuse to listen to any more such stories. I view them all as insults to my intelligence.
