It's already been a storage place for a sack of shit... Just keep using it as a latrine.

not a septic tank, a latrine for use by our troops.

No doubt it's already served that purpose. How many soldiers will cherish the memory of pissing in Saddam's last refuge.

Vaporize and irradiate the area :-)

Seriesly, seeing the surrounding land is a farm, throw some topsoil on top and start planting (best equivalent to Hitler's bunker).

A journalist looks at his colleague climb out of the spider hole in which Saddam Hussein was hiding when he was captured by U.S. troops in last month near Tikrit, December 15, 2003. The hole could be filled in to prevent it becoming a 'shrine,' a U.S. military spokesman said on January 23, 2004. The U.S. 4th Infantry Division, which captured Saddam at a farm in central Iraq last month, has asked for permission to destroy the hole and the nearby mud hut which were his last refuges. 'In order to avoid making it a tourist attraction and/or a shrine, we believe the best course of action is to eliminate it,' 4th Infantry Division spokesman Master Sergeant Robert Cargie said. Cargie cautioned that no decision had been made by military commanders in Baghdad, nor by the Iraqi Governing Council. What do Iraqis want done about it?

Sheesh, if they can't be trusted with self-determination over what to do about a hole in the ground, we're wasting our time pretending we're going to let them elect a government--ever.

This is not the kind of thing our side should be messing with--or our entire real reason for going to war WAS a lie. (And I don't believe it was.)

If the Iraqis can't govern themselves, we should have just nuked the place to eliminate the threat.

Carry the hole down to Baghdad and let them make an invisible shrine.

Use it as a septic tank.

I imagine our guys have already turned it into a de facto septic tank.

Fill it in? Bad move.

Leave it so Chomsky, Fisk, Pilger, Galloway and Ramsey Clark can be burried there later. Hopefully soon.
