Engineers have determined that Spirit's flash memory hardware is functional, strengthening a theory that Spirit's main problem is in software that controls file management of the memory. Sounds like good news for Spirit, while at the same time it sounds like Opportunity is going to be needing a patch in order to avoid the same problem Spirit had.
